One more casino-hotel in Las Vegas has reached a tentative labor agreement with unionized housekeepers, bartenders and other workers.
The Culinary Union says it reached a five-year deal Tuesday with the Tropicana. If ratified, it would cover about 730 workers at the property on the Las Vegas Strip.
Details about the agreement were not immediately released, but generally, it includes wage increases and protections against sexual harassment.
The contracts of 50,000 unionized workers, including those at the Tropicana, expired May 31. Workers earlier this year voted to authorize a strike after a lack of progress on negotiations.
The union and casino operators have reached agreements covering more than 42,000 of those workers.
Workers plan to picket Friday outside the D in downtown Las Vegas, where they also protested last week.
